FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): It will end up being a little easier to get orders from Amazon in Allen County.

The online retail giant announced it will be opening a brand-new Fort Wayne shipment station, which the business states will power its “last-mile shipment abilities” to speed up deliveries for clients in Allen County.

“We are proud to partner with Amazon as they expand their footprint in Indiana,” stated Mayor Tom Henry. “The new Amazon Delivery Station will bring extra jobs, income and growth to our community. This is an excellent win for our local labor force, entrepreneurs, and our residents.”

Shipment stations make it possible for Amazon Logistics to supplement capacity and versatility to Amazon’s delivery abilities. Furthermore, the station will create numerous full-time and part-time jobs, paying a minimum of $15 per hour, and providing a variety of advantages packages “from day one.”

The company says delivery stations also provide entrepreneurs the possibility to build their own business delivering Amazon packages.
